The inaugural season of the SEA Women's Basketball League 2022 was won by the Indonesian Women's National Basketball Team. Adelaide Callista Wongsohardjo and her teammates won the championship by defeating Thailand Sniper in the final, 2-1 on aggregate.

Three teams from Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia came after the SWBL 2022. Each nation still sends its own national team for this tournament. Indonesia Elite is the designation given to the Women's Basketball National Team. The Malaysian Tiger and the Thai Sniper are his rivals.
