Seringai
The Indonesian rock group Seringai, which consists of Arian 13, Ricky Siahaan, Sammy Bramantyo, and Edy Khemod, was founded in 2002. Seringai has published four studio albums, one micro album, and three more albums during the course of his career.
The beginning of the formation of grin
The beginning of the formation of Seringai started with Arian as a vocalist who at that time had just disbanded from his previous group Puppen. Then he had the idea to form a new group whose musical concept was different from what they had made before, he invited Ricky Siahaan from Step Forward to form a music group. Together with guitarist Adhitya Ardinugraha of Pure Saturday, bassist Regina Citra Arini of Traxap and drummer Edy Khemod, they formed Derai whose music was inspired by At the Drive-In, Texas is the Reason and Kiss It Goodbye.
Derai's life was brief because Arian and Ricky believed the music they intended to create was outside the scope of what they were capable of. Only when they began to play Black Sabbath and Black Flag songs for fun did they come up with a good band concept.
Then Arian invited his friend Khemod to play the drums, Ricky Siahaan to play the guitar, and Toan to play bass. However, as a result of his busy schedule, Toan ultimately decided to leave his job as bassist, and Sammy Bramantyo took his place.
singing career
In 2004, Seringai debuted his career with the release of a little album titled High Octane Rock.
Seringai re-published their 2007 debut album, Serigala Militia, which was originally released.
A DVD box including a documentary about Seringai's career path, Generasi Menolak Tua, directed by Sammy Bramantyo, was issued by Seringai in 2010.
In 2013, Taring, the second album by Seringai, was initially released.
In 2013, Seringai was chosen to begin Metallica's Jakarta performance.
Seringai re-released a maxi single from 2013 on LPs, named Tragedy/Sang Pria, in the same year. On July 29, 2018, Seringai issued their third album again under the title Like Api.
music genre
Fans of Seringai are familiar with his loud music, which is often associated with alternative, underground, or non-mainstream music. Seringai did, however, go through a period where they thought they didn't always want to be a metal band.
"On the past, we wanted to explore the music direction (like) At The Drive-In, post-hardcore," Arian13 admitted in a podcast dubbed "High Octane Podcast."
The Seringai staff also acknowledged that music other than metal had been considered for Arian's words to convey. According to rumors, Seringai had considered presenting music with post-hardcore undertones.
