The Saudi Arabian government affirms that meningitis vaccination is not necessary for Umrah travelers.
According to the Saudi Arabian government, pilgrims who enter the country on Hajj visas are the only ones who must have the meningitis vaccine. The meningitis vaccine is not required for Umrah travelers.
Meningitis vaccination is not mandatory, according to a letter from the Saudi Arabian Embassy's Consular Section (KBSA).
According to a statement made public by the Muslim Association of Hajj and Umrah Organizers of the Republic of Indonesia (AMPHURI) on Tuesday, August 11, 2022, "Alhamdulillah, good news from the Saudi Arabian Embassy which has released a policy circular that the meningitis vaccine is not mandatory for those who come with an Umrah visa."
Secretary General of the DPP AMPHURI Farid Aljawi hailed the declaration made by Saudi Arabia on November 8, 2022, or on 13 Rabiul Awal.
